What do you use to cut Amsteel?

7/64" Amsteel and my scissors aren't getting along real well. Must this be "hot" cut?
    Thanks,
    Chuck

Scissors dull? I have always used scissors with no issues. They are pretty big scissors though...

Re: What do you use to cut Amsteel?

I have used scissors (NOT my good fabric scissors), my knives and my hot tool. The hot tool actually works the best, for me, as it cuts through easily and somewhat seals the ends.

My scissors are pretty sharp, but perhaps not sharp enough.

I use a ceramic paring knife. I believe they are available at Harbor Freight type of stores.

Also you need a cutting board type of surface to cut the cord on. It tends to work better.

    Cheers

+1 on ceramic knife from harbor freight. Best $5 you'll spend.

Love my ceramic paring knife and definitely on a cutting board.
