Glad they took care of you. I just bought my Eno and have been extremely happy with it.

I have been impressed with the ENO quality. I use my DN/whoopies in my daypack.
I think I might have found the issue. My new hammock seems to have a thicker fabric. I also noticed while I was stuffing my hammock in the stuff sack I noticed that I was digging my nails around the same spot as the hole that I made in my hammock which might have punctured the stuff sack.
Before I return this hammock what are the advantages of having a smaller hammock if any.
EDIT: I accidently posted in the wrong thread please ignore this post.

It sounds like a ENO single nest. You might look into a Grand Trunk Double or better yet a Kammok. I have a couple of ENO Double Nests, but the longer length hammocks feel more comfortable to me.
Check out my comparison in the Reviews section: ENO vs Grand Trunk vs Kammok
As far as durability goes, my kids have beaten my ENOs up (even swinging enough to snap a set of Slap Straps through), and they're still good. The only thing to go bad was the compression straps around the outside of the bag - the stitching frayed out.
Definitely a fabric flaw earlier - those looked like the equivalent of stretch marks for fabric. Weird.
Just got back from four days of camping
Two days and nights with rain and wind
My db nest held up great with the new Atlas straps
