I just registered with the forum this evening, and figured I'd introduce myself. Currently, my family has three ENO doublenest hammocks, all using slap strap suspension. But, since I'm typing here, I'm sure you can all imagine that is about to change.
A couple good friends of mine and I went in on a group buy of some silnylon, oxford, grosgrain, sealer, amsteel-blue, mesh, shock cord, cordlocks, pulls, line locks... I'm planning a winter tarp, bugnet, whoopie sling suspension, adjustable ridge line. Most of the supplies are already in, but build date is still TBD.
I've seen some great stuff here so far. Thanks all for sharing your tips and resourses, and letting me come 'hang'.

I was just reading this actually. September is generally pretty busy for me, especially on the weekends. Saturday football games, or if it's an away game, I usually have a wedding to do. But, excuses aside, I'll look at my calendar, and see if we can 'swing' it. Good on you for event planning so far in advance. September/October in the Carolinas is really the sweet spot.

My group of 20 'ground dwellers' is heading to Pisgah (NC) this weekend for Father's Day. At least 7 hammockers are coming along, but only one of us (not me) is outfitted for camping. That's about to change, and that's why I'm here.
