I was watching professor hammock's video on the HFDHS and it got me to thinking. Last year i made done whoopie slings that had soft shackles instead of locked brummels. There are photos of them in my stuff. I thought they were neat but shelved them due to not having a particular use for them. However, attend me now...

My thought is this: make a continuous loop around the adjustable end of one if these nacra-whoopies, then larkshead the continuous loop to the end of your hammock. Now your nacra-whoopie is attached to your hammock. Now for your straps you can either use straps like the ENOs that have several loops sewn up the strap or use the Speer method of wrapping back and forth until you have your loop at the correct length. Now just attach your nacrabiner side of the whoopie to your strap and you are done....withoit hardware.
It is late and this may have been discussed before, or may just be stupid. Feel free to year it up with the constructive criticism. I am actually very happy with my marlinespike/whoopie setup and have no desire to change...this idea just sprang into my head.

I will try to put this into practical application with photos this week.
