    Another Newby question

So I have the ENO double nest and ENO bug guard net bag. Should my underquilt (making it this weekend from a Amry poncho liner) this weekend.

I know there are no rules, but I'm sure people have tried it all, and have the ideas what works best.

So when I set up, should the underquilt go in the bug net w/ the hammock, or should it be on the outside of the bug bag?

Thank you all for your thoughts and answers.

I think in the bug net would work best.
    Happy hanging.

for the warmest results the underquilt needs to be snug up againt your back. most use some sort of shock cord to hold in in place but allow it to move with you and keep tight againt you. if placed outside the net, the net will probobly bunch up an the air gap will allow cold air in which ruins your insulation. hope I answerd your question. best of luck
    and welcome to the forum.

I use mine inside the bug net, as others have stated if you use it outside, the bug net creates a gap and can still allow cold air to get between and cause cold butt syndrome, as my wife how I know this, she didn't want to go through the trouble of putting it inside, woke up around 3am shivering, which of course causes me to get up too, but it was all fun.

I've found it's easier to put the netting on, then slide the uq on through the opening and attach it. The cinch openings on the guardian aren't big at all.
