Marble Mountain Wilderness: Bear bag or can?

Anyone familiar with the bears at Marble Mountain Wilderness or the nearby Trinity Alps Wilderness? Trying to decide if I can get away with using a bear bag or if I need to pack the extra weight for a bear can. Keep in mind I am an SUL hiker so my pack has some weight and size limitations. Brining a friend with me so a bear bag would be easier to hang food for two. My little bear can, a bear boxer solo, probably won't cut it.

    Thanks Everyone!

I dont know about your area, but if your worried about bears in my experience hanging a food bag is the best way to go. As long as the food it up and out of reach of a bear it will not matter if it smells it or not.

You can hang food in the Trinity Alps. I don't know about Marble but here is the contact info:

Thanks guys. Going to bring my bear bag and do the Four Lakes Loop. Just talked to the ranger and he says it looks like late July/August up there.
