    My First Ugly-ish Tarp

Instead of using the bowline hitch on the corners, I used the home wrap tape to make loops. I can already see that I need to reinforce the upper points, but everything seems to be holding pretty well.

I am using a continuous ridge line and really like the way it goes together. Instead of hardware, I used a slipped buntline to hold the ridgeline to the first ring. Then the same knot to a carabiner at the other and to make it easily adjustable.

Guy lines are just para cord. there is a knot that I always call a camping not because it makes the lines easily controllable. I am undecided about adding shock cord tensioners

Next will be to add one or two loops to each side to remove some sagging. And I will get it contact lens containers for my clip on pull outs.

Perfect timing. Now that it is setup in the backyard, and I'm back inside working, the wind is whipping like crazy! One of those super hot summer days where the thick clouds roll through and bring the temp change for some serious gusts.

I guess this is trial by fire day for the tarp. I'd rather test to failure in the backyard, than in a thunderstorm in the woods.
