The hubby and I are BIG ppl and getting older. The climbing around on the ground getting in and out of tents, sleeping on rocks and roots, and the extra carry weight is getting old. We have watched a ton of videos posted on youtube and can see the value of hangin. QUESTION: What hammocks can you recommend to hold 350-400lbs? i see the Skeeter Beeter Pro hold 400lbs, anyone got a review?

A BIAS Camper double layer would fit the bill and it's made right there in Tenn. Great hammock, give them a look.

In addition to weight you have to consider ease of entry exit. I have found that the bigger hammocks are very difficult for me to get out of. So that also needs to be a consideration, I think the difficulty with the deep hammock is because I am short. I do not really know for sure what the problem is. I am selling several of my Hennessy Hammocks because they are difficult for me to use, especially early in the morning, when my body is stiff and sore.

An ENO Double nest will hold 400 lbs. It's a little short in length but it holds my 375 lbs comfortably. It's not a double layer but a wider hammock to accommodate two or more people.

Hennessy Hammock Safari Deluxe would be an option. I thought the bottom entry Hennessy Hammocks were easy to get into. Hardest part was separating the bottom entry slit (sometimes required use of hands). After that your feet are out you are at the lowest point of the Hammock and just stand up like out of a chair.

I weighed nearly 300 lbs when I got a Grand Trunk Skeeter Beeter Pro, it tacoed so badly that I couldn't see out of it or get a breeze. It also made it hard to get out of it. The net is delicate and hangs in your face too, I recommend against one.
