Need large pine cone

I have a prank I need to play on someone and it requires a large pine cone. A VERY large pine cone. Anyone out there have access to some fresh Sugar or Coulter pine cones?

A friend and I have been passing a minuscule pine cone back and forth for a few years now (I hide it in her purse, she mails it to me in a giant box, ...), but in a week and a half we're both members in a wedding party and I would like to present a few presents to some members, one of them being a giant pine cone to this friend. I grew up out west and remember how the sugar pine and the coulter were both huge and I would be grateful if someone could hook me up with one of them.

I would think a giant bottle of champagne could be a suitable substitute if you come up short. But good luck

I'm surrounded by cedar trees, so no help here, BUT eBay has HUGE pine cones if you end up going that route.

My son picked one up last week while hiking with the boy scouts that measures 8" tall...that's as big as I've seen here in eastern central florida.

I've seen them for sale but I can't bring myself to pay the price people are asking, hence me asking here in the hopes that someone has some extras or are planning a dayhike where one might be obtained.
