Which one to get

Hi,

Some of you may recall my introduction post..if not basically, I am new to hammocking-and didn't enjoy my first trip out. Now I know that I need to practice around the homestead beforehand.

So question is...

GT Skeeter Beeter Pro or would I be better off waiting and spending more money? LL Bean has it for $75, and LL Beans lifetime warranty. I'd rather not spend over $100 with less than a no questions asked return policy on something I still am not sure about if it is right for me. By the same token, I don't want to spend $75 and decide it's not for me if a WBBB or HH would make all the difference in the world.

I personally say get the blackbird and don't look back you'll end up getting one anyways

Try and make it to a group hang?? You'll be able to try multiple rigs and make an informed decision.

I agree. You will learn a lot by going to a group hang. Getting to try out different hammocks will set your mind at ease about buying the one or ones you like.

A BIAS set up is what I use and recommend.

Where can I learn of group hangs in my area?

I am going to have a week vacation the week of the 4th and would like to use this time to learn and adjust at my cottage.

Are there any reasons why one would not recommend the GT SB?

BTW, I am 5'11" 200lbs if that matters.

If you want to try an 11' hammock, you could also make your own. You can buy the fabric to size and avoid the sewing piece.

If you can afford to, REI sells the Hennessy's. They have a return policy that is unbeatable.

Unfortunately no hangs nearby.

The HHs are out of my range at the moment. I don't want to invest that much when others are recommending Bias' for under $60. Only issue with that is I want the screen attached, I most definitely would end up loosing a separate bug net. That's where the GTSB comes in for $75.

No one has one? Or used one?
