which end of the whoopie sling

    hello, quick question
im putting some whoopie slings on my hammock and wanted to know if it really matters which end you attach to your hammock and which end you attach to a tree strap. (by this i mean whether you attach the adjustable loop end to your hammock or your fixed loop end to your hammock).

does it really matter which end you use for each. and if you had it reversed what would happen

    thank you

Shug is correct, the fixed end goes on the hammock.

...because if you reverse it, it will likely not grip the hammock tightly enough to stay on.

    Hope it helps!

What if you use a continuous loop and larks head the loop on the hammock? I got a set of whoopie slings with dutch hooks and the hooks are in the adjustable end.

With whoopie hooks I have the adjustable loop at the hammock end. That's a pretty common configuration.

Ok. Just wanted to make sure I was doing it right. So far I love the whoopies. And with the hooks I can use the same whoopies With different hammocks.

Great, ain't it? I think the first time somebody told me about an inverted whoopie I had no idea what they were talking about - couldn't visualize even after it was explained to me (I think by Dylan). Heck, I couldn't even understand it when looking at it. Now it's my favorite suspension.

Yea. I think I'm going to make some with dutch hooks on the fixed end. Can't wait to try and make some. Only down fall so far is when trees are close together. It doesn't bother me because I get to use my creativity to hang my hammock.
