The low tide gives hikers only 5 hours before the water returns. To cross the seabed from the mainland to the Island of Ameland. By way of exception I left my hammock at home

I think it's pretty cool that you can hike to an island when the tide goes out.
Nice But cold trip......
Did you spent the Night at the Island?
Very nice! Thanks for posting

Haven't seen a hike like that before, looks fun, muddy, but fun.
I might have gotten a little bit nervous after seeing the large rescue rope on the back of the pack though.
Did anybody lose any shoes in the deep muck?
Thanks,
Jason
@ Thom: Thanks! It is cool and a kind of exciting as well.
@ aka.jobbe: At the end of the day we sailed back by ferry to the mainland.
@ Duffy: I appreciate your comment
@ jwright: All hikers are usually well prepared. Shoes and gear were checked by guides. The guides are well trained. And they are always in touch with emergency services. For the first 2 miles the hike is parallel to the coastline. This gives the guides the opportunity to check the physical conditions and the gear of the hikers in the mud. Before the point of no-return. Sometimes the ropes are needed when crossing rapid waterflows in fairways. The wooden sticks are also used to bear stretchers in case of emergency.
Beautiful hike and video!

That was cool. Well done on the filming & editing. And a good choice for the music.
Very neat! The variety of places to hike just keeps growing and growing!
The road to success is always under construction.
