Re: Back in the Hammock Again. In Maine.

Looks like a nice spot to hang. Fly that hf flag proud

The weather you're getting seems pretty similar to the climate here, although it is 11pm just now, not quite dark yet and will be light enough to walk without a torch before 3am.

Hope these nasty little mossies aren't there. We have 4 different kinds in Florida from small to huge and none are as bad as this one in Maine. Kinda like a hit and run leaving pain and suffering for days. Make that itching and oozing for days.

Spent 3 R&R's in Scotland in the late 60's early 70's while in the Navy and was never there long enough to get used to being ran out of the pub in the evening and it still being daylight.

Yeah, we're on the slope at the base of Mt. Waldo. Source for some of the granite used in the early construction booms in N.Y. and D.C.. Been going thru a heat wave the last couple of days but the rains started last night and it looks like they will be with us for awhile. Haven't had to abandon the hammock yet, the Wilderness Logic Tadpole has been amazing. Not the first leak and that's as received.

Welcome back to Maine. If you come north come to Orono and stop by the Byer of Maine retail store. We have some really comfortable camp furniture you might like, and I'll give you the HF in store discount too!

Enjoy your time in Maine. Looks like it could be a few days before we see the sun again.

Sorry for the heat spell! Probably won't last long. Glad to hear the tadpole is working for ya! Just looked up to see where Mt. Waldo was and y'all are fairly close to the coastline! I thought the maine coast was one of the prettiest places I have seen when we visited Acadia and Bar Harbor!

Eat up them wild blueberries. They are the tastiest ones I have put in my mouth!
