Shoes and backpack during a rain storm?

What do you do with your shoes and backpack during a rain storm?

I was thinking of routing a guyline from the midpoint on my tarp to the ground and have a loop so that I can clip in my pack and shoes to suspend them above the ground.

Further, this helps keep creepy crawlies out of your shoes too.

    Thoughts?

I hang my pack from my suspension on my head end and I do the same with my shoes just on the other end. This also helps to keep my head end lower than my feet.

I know I am starting to sound like a Molly Mac Gear groupie but I have ordered a Gear Box for this exact purpose. Obviously haven't used it yet but I am hoping it will do the job.

I have 2 "S" biners at the head end of the hammock. One is for my pack. The other is for my shoes. I hang them from the continuous loop that is between the hammock and the whoopie sling.

I find my hang more comfortable with the head end of the hammock lower than the foot, so hanging stuff from the head end of the suspension just makes sense.

    Hope this helps.

Hadn't seen this little guy. Some food for thought.
