Welcome from the Jersey Shore. Sounds like you're attaching the tarp to the whoopie slings, but you might want to consider an independent Zing-It ridgeline for the tarp. It makes tarp setup a lot easier.

A Mississippi hang would be awesome! Maybe somewhere in the middle of the state to make it easy for all to come. Don't know that area very well, but the Jackson/Clinton people might could recommend some places. As for time....Oct. - Apr would get my vote.
