Problem is getting it here in Hawaii! No one sells it and no one ships it here.. Pretty much stuck with off and won't be using that anytime soon. My daughter will be sleeping in it at times so rather not use off at all.
    Who sells Permethrin? Walmart?

HH Expedition Zip & UL Backpacker Mosquito Problem!

You can just spray a light coat on the bottom outside of the hammock and your problem will be solved. I do that and it's very effective. For clothes I prefer to soak but hammock and other gear is better just sprayed lightly.

A solution for the short term, until you treat with Permethrin, may be to wear a shirt to bed. I find that, even if I haven't treated recently, an athletic shirt worn to bed (so as to be as breathable as possible) keeps the skeeters from biting me. The offset of the weaves prevents them from being able to stick through the interstices of the fabric.

    Hope it helps!

A light bed sheet doubled should work fine. Just lay on it. Hennessy's jungle hammock is a Two layer thing, from what I recall. You wouldnt have to sew anything.

I think a bigger issue with ordering anything from BIAS is that Brian takes weeks to get his products shipped with zero communication coming out of his workshop, unless of course you spend time chasing him down through email. He's even quicker to respond once you request a refund.

Ordering from BIAS is almost as slow as ordering from OES. Almost.
