Lots of videos on youtube about the DD Hammock - you might find the videos by Pablo most interesting since he is in the UK too.

Also a lot chat about the DD Hammock on the Bushcraftuk forum too, I think a 3d group buy is just coming to a conclusion.

If the search link above doesn't work - time out issues - just go to

    http://www.hammockforums.net/forum/?

And do a new search or look around , kit chatter thread or member reviews thread , is the most likely place to look . Search on titles only to limit results. Anyway , you might find more first hand experience with using the DD Hammock in your enviroment .

    Thumbs up

Hi geralama (and everyone else!). I too am based in the UK and have a 2008 DD travel hammock/ tarp combo, much like Neo's. I can strongly recommend both - the hammock is very comfortable and has some great additional features, while the tarp is massive for its weight; extra covered space in a rainy environment is always useful! I think they're top kit at quite reasonable prices.

That's where i'm getting my hammock from, i was getting the tarp but another poster on bcuk has made some tarps so i've gone for a 4x4.5m one which is massive. (i need the extra space as i will be taking my little lad hammocking in the near future) I think i am paying around £33 for the travel hammock instead of £42, so not a bad saving.

Looks like a nice set up Neo.

Because the tarp i will be using is so large i will need to get some thicker ridge line as the paracord i tried it out with was too stretchy and i couldn't get enough tension on it. Hopefully i'll get my DD travel before our next outing at the end of the month, fingers crossed it arrives in time.

Just another guy who likes his DD. Spent a night out last weekend, rained all night... nothing got to me Because my tarp, hammock, and T-shirt order was over a certain amount they threw in a Scout hammock, which I think was a nice touch.

Greetings from Sweden and a first post...

I just recieved my DD Travel Hammock and DD Tarp, havent had a chance to try them out this weekend due to that darn eastern and other religous humbug... Thats what I get for getting engaged to a greek ortodox woman

Enough about her.. she ain't all that interresting... "she will never see this post"

I have to say that I am a bit confused, I googled DD travel Hammock and found this forum and a thread where "Neo" is ranting on and on about how worthless the DDTH is, and when I found this thread it's a whole other story... besides getting a new Hammock Neo, what did they pay you jokes aside now.. I really hope that I will be as satisfied as all of you, me being a slouch and a lardass (I confess) but still not reaching the maximum weightlimit of the tarp hope that even I can sleep comfortly in the hammock.

I saw that you Neo mount your tarp diagonally... does it make a big difference lengthwise for hammock coverage?

Pics and review from a lazy swedish IT guy will come...
