I did the trail last year. It's a pretty nice trail and the fact that there is free camping along the way is a big plus for meBug Beach is awesome. It's a sandy bottom as far as I could touch. Here's a trip report from my trip last year.

looks like a nice trail to hike out there and some great views!
That looks like a pretty good trail. How long was it altogether? I do some some sheep work with my dogs up by Granbury and Weatherford every once in a while and would love to explore some of the trails and do some hanging at parks I've not yet been to. I just picked up my State Park Pass last weekend and did a couple of trails at Colorado Bend State Park. Temps got up to 108. Hopefully, its a bit cooler for ya this weekend.
