help needed with North GA summer trip

Hey guys, I'm planning a 3 day backpacking trip with my son next month and could use some help. We want to go to North GA, would love to be able to go swimming, and would like to have a nice relaxing mix of hiking and camp time (no 20 mile days!) So...............what would you suggest?
FYI: If you want to know what type a certain bear is, sneak up behind it and kick it. Then,
run like crazy and climb up a tree. If the bear climbs the tree and eats you, it's a black
bear. If the bear just pushes the tree over and eats you, it's a grizzly bear : )

Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me, either, just leave me alone.

I don't have a suggestion, but I like your idea. I will watch and see what suggestions come up. Maybe I can do something similar.

Exactly what you are looking for. Great trip. I just did this 2 weeks ago. Let me know if you have any questions.

Looks like a great trip! Where did you park? Also, what was the total milage?

I parked at Dally Gap. The total mileage plus the 4 mile spur to jacks falls came in right about 20 miles. Very easy enjoyable trip. If you follow the GPS tracks I gave you, day one has an awesome huge campsite right on the river. From there the falls are only a short 2 mile hike. Day 2&3 be prepared to cross the running river about 18 times. Good times.
