Just wondering how many new knots have you learned since you started hanging. Even as a scout leader and knowing several knots I find myself learning new ones because of my newest addiction.

We're all pretty bizarre. Some of us are just better at hiding it, that's all.
Certainly the marlin spike hitch was new to me, and the klemheist. I am the leader in our troop that everyone goes to for knot help in our troop, so I knew all the basics and then some.

Anything that can be spliced, will be spliced. I'm left with just prusik, marlin spike hitch, slippery half hitch and larkshead.
I've learned a few; Marlinspike, figure-8 lashing, taut line hitch, and the prusik. I'm not sure if y'all would accept the figure-8 lashing as a knot, but it works well for the Hennessy Hammock, and I use it every time I go out.
I'll splice when I can, but the bowline is a quick and easy way to put a good loop on the end of the line. I've also learned the taut-line hitch, the Ashley stopper knot, the diamond stopper knot, prussic knot, and a couple others. I keep a 6' piece of cord at my desk and I practice tying different knots when I have a short break.

Marlin spike hitch, slippery half hitch and the clove hitch.
I was actually on a knot-learning quest when I discovered hammock camping. Researching knots, I stumbled upon Just-Jeff's site which ultimately led me here.
You're never lost if you don't care where you are.
I,too, had an interest in learning knots before I started hammocking. May I recommend my favorite online tutorial:

Hammocking has taught me the Marlin Spike hitch.
As a climber I knew and mastered most if not all life support knots and hitches but my interest in hammock camping has taught me many more non-life support knots and hitches like the Marlin Spike Hitch and the Ferrimond hitch I use these the most with the slipped Buntline hitch as a close 3rd
