From your range of ~55-70, I just use a simple sleeping bag(I don't have a UQ yet and use a pad for colder temps below 40*). Above that, no pad or SB. It gets too hot if there is no breeze.
I do, however, use a fleece blanket and can use that under my shoulders in the morning if too cool. Just remember to have something to block the wind, it may get a little chilly in the morning and/or if there is a breeze.

Like WV said, find your comfort zone. Experiment in your backyard with different setups. After you find your zone, prepare what you can for your trips and just enjoy the rest.
Enjoy and have fun with your family, before they have fun without you

I just ordered pieces of 1/8" and 1/4" Landau foam from A-1 Foam and Fabrics. I got enough to make full-length 1/8", 1/4" and 3/8" pads up to 30" in width. Some backyard warm-weather testing will follow the arrival of my foam!

I just tried a 1/8" pad for the first time last night. The low temperature was 65*. My pad is Landau foam from A-1 Foam & Fabrics, 30" x 72," and
was placed between the double layers of my WBBB XLC. I used a thin fleece blanket on top and was comforable.

I tried the gg 1/8 pad in Hawaii and froze my but off. I now use the Walmart venture green smooth pad. It weighs 9 oz and I cut it in half so mine weighs 4.5 oz and its an open cell so it breaths well. The 1/8 pads suck, don't waste your money

If weight isn't a big deal, Poncho Liner UQ would be fine. Doubled PL's work down to the high 40's. Heck, cut one in half and make an UQ.

The other option would be to take a layer of fabric, like an UQ protector... something to block the breeze might be all you need... YMMV

If you're looking for an ultra cheap and thin pad, get some Floor Underlayment, it's 1/8" polyethylene foam. . .

I used a fleece sleeping bag liner from Walmart (Ozark Trail brand). I sleep in it just don't zip it up. Works great for me in low 70's temp. No pad or UQ just the fleece.

I use a torso length piece of Reflectix between the layers of my WBRR from about 65*F down to 50*F. I have a set of Reflectix wings that I will carry along to provide coverage for my upper arms if the forecast is for the lower temps of this range.

I have plans to make an insulation layer to go in between the layers of my DL WBBB XLC. I will be using a material called Insul-Bright, and plan to make it full length with a 1.1 rip stop cover and Velcro tabs (along with a mod to the hammock) to hold it in place. The link here should take you to the insulation. I'm hoping it will be breathable and just warm enough to take the chill off. I'll probably use two layers of the insulation.

Also, there are usually coupons available for Joann Fabrics. I think I had a 40% off coupon when I bought mine. Made it pretty affordable.

    Exped Multimat

I've used an Exped Multimaat in to the mid forties and stayed toasty. I think the mat weighs in at 12 oz and has endless uses.
