    Sleeping in hammocks?

Hey guys I have been hammocking for a few months now and I know everyone says to lay like diagonal on them and I have tried that sevril times using different hammocks. And I can't seem to find that way very comfortable (it's fine for laying down but I have troubles sleeping on my back) so I end up sleeping on my side just laying parralarll in my hammock. And that obviously not the most comfy dew to the fact your a bit bent side ways.
So bottom line anyone have any advice to where I can sleep better in them? I sleep fine in them but would like to sleep a but better in them if I could obviously
    Thanks guys!

I lay on my side on pretty much the same diagonal as I do when laying on my back. Might need a little more sag in your setup??

I still use an air mattress inside my hammock. I like the padding and you don't have to inflate it much. Works for me.

The Ridge Runner from WB is perfect for us side sleepers. The first night or two of a trip I have trouble sleeping very well. For some folks it takes time to get used to a different feeling bed. I pop a couple of Z-Quill sleeping pills for the first night or two and that helps.

I do like a fetal position, or in between that and normal bed side lay if I want to sleep on my side.

Try more sag and more diagonal... And if you want throw a picture of your setup hanging and we can point out anything that may be "wrong"

Make sure the hammock is set up so your foot end is a few inches higher than the head end. I am a stomach sleeper in bed but a back sleeper in my hammock. I will sometimes sleep on sides in the hammock.

Attend a group hang and have some more experience hangers check out how you are setting up your rig.
I am still 18 but with 52 years of experience !

+1 on the fetal position. Last camping trip I woke up in the morning sleeping on my side in a fetal position.

I also agree that a picture would really help.

If the amount of sag is right, then the weight of your torso and especially your shoulders over at one side should have the effect of creating slack on the opposite diagonal side, resulting in something close to an overall flat position.

The elevation of the foot-end is something else again, useful to keep you from sliding down.
