    3/4 length, 20° under quilt

It seems like everybody makes a 20° 3/4 down quilt or something very close to that. I'm going to be purchasing one shortly, can anyone tell me of the choices out there, which one, including the suspension system that comes with it, is the lightest weight? and which one is the best price?

    Phoenix 20

i just got the HG phoenix 20 with 1 oz overfill. As you have, or no doubt will see, they have stellar reviews and for good reason. They have recently changed their suspension to adjust from the corners instead of the full length channel suspension. However it still comes with both and you can use either. I decided to use some triangle thingies from AHE and I can tell you, that is the way to go. Last night I had an amazing night sleep with temps in the 55-61* range with none but a flannel bag liner as a top quilt. I will be a repeat customer of HG. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the input. What does it mean to have 1 oz of overfill. i am assuming it adds some warm to the quilt, is that correct? Does it add much weight and cost?

Yes, it adds to the temp range and weight of the quilt. Usually a 10-20 dollar option per quilt.

Jacks R Better makes a nice wearable TQ, called the Snivler. My personal fav.

Underquilts.com will sell you completed shells for TQ's and UQ's that you then stuff with however much down goodnes you wish. Tack the baffles closed then inject the open side closed with a shock cord channel.

AHE makes some great insulation as well. Several others and it's hard to go wrong with any of them.

I'm leaning toward Dutch Quilt hook suspensions atm. Don't we all need another reason for Dutchbling?
