    I have no words.
Hope you don't feel like everyone is piling on but they got a point. Tree limb failure is a different manufaturer than HH. I know you'll get a lot more positive posts than negative with regard to HH. I'm afraid you're gonna need to take your lumps on this one brother and pony up for a new HH or other brand. Then there's always the DIY route...

I too have a real hard time understanding why one would expect any kind of deal because forces outside the vendors control did damage.

That does beg the question of whether or not any of the setup was salvageable. An open hammock is cheap and easy of you still have a tarp. If it ate the whole thing then save your penny's.
    YMMV

Me too, I hope WetCatCarl does not feel attacked! I'm just glad the falling limb did not take him out as well as his HH! WCC, I feel for you Bro with the loss of your hammock, but I just think your expectations for HH customer service might be a little on the high side even for any other hammock manufacturer. But I hope you find another usable hammock- of whatever brand- soon!

If my response was a bit strong, my apologies. Wasn't meant to be taken strong.

Stuff happens. Be thankful it wasn't you, and start saving your pennies for a new set up. I'd be THRILLED to get years of use out of something. Glass half full, bro.

Which was whacked by mother nature?
    The Scout or the Expedition?

    How bad was the damage?
    Anything left?
Can you salvage the tarp or suspension?

Repurpose the fabric into some stuff sacks and maybe sell them to help finance a new setup?

Loyal customer discounts are tough in the cottage world but there are sales from time to time.

Heck a Yukon w/ skeeter net was available last week for $25.
Not as nice as a Hennessy but add a tarp and your back out there.

    Best of luck.

You might try to find a phone # or email for Mother Nature's complaint department. They might be willing to help... Also is good for weather induced itinerary inconveniences.
