Welcome from the MS Gulf Coast. I am also new in HF. People have been very helpful here.
Not sure how far it is from Mobile, but Black Creek Trail in Desota National Forest is good for fall, winter, and spring hiking. It is about 1 hr north of Gulfport and is about 40 miles long. Great place for winter backpacking!
Summer heat forces me to go 500 miles north to hike in the summer. That gets expensive. Wish we had someplace closer!
