I, too, would suggest the adjustable webbing from Warbonnet, even though they take a little playing around with to be totally accustomed to. As much as I liked them, I decided to go with the cinch buckles from Dutch. Never lookin back!

How about one web strap and one line and strap as an option?
I don't mind tying knots.

Cannibal has it about right. Having used the webbing and DIY whoopies, the webbing has less fiddle factor. That said, the whoopies and straps are not a burden, especially after several uses.
