Was planning to head out on the trail for a few days starting this morning so I was starting to get my gear together yesterday evening. One of the things I wanted to check out was which stuff sack to use for my pillow so I jammed my down vest in one and climbed into my home hammock to test it out.
Next thing I knew it was three hours later and I didn't have time to finish packing. Darn comfortable hammocks.
Oh well, I'll hit the trail tomorrow.

I've learned that lesson before. Never hop into the hammock if you are trying to do something. When I first got into hammocks I thought I'd set it up in the back yard get away from the TV and computer and finally get more reading done.
Nope!
I've never been able to read more than 10 pages before dozing off....
I set one up in the yard yesterday intending to read a book, but I made the mistake of doing a comfort test. Reading a book turned into taking a nap.

Was out on a day hike, set up my hammock to take a break. Next thing I know I am waking up 3 hours later and late for a lunch date with the wife.
I am still 18 but with 52 years of experience !
