I will be in a position to scout out Cedar Creek on Tuesday of this week. if it turns out to be a good spot, can everyone make Labor Day weekend?

I can't tomorrow unfortunately. I will be stuck at work until 8:00. I do want to know about this great hanging spot though. Blue and Grey is so close it seems silly not to run over there more often.
It was AWESOME! It is so clean and well maintained. Abundance of tree clusters. It was really a great place to hang! I'll be back soon!
ok I scouted the Cedar Creek Trail today. the southern loop is about 22 miles, but it is in alot of prairie grass that is now up to your waist or higher. I think this is a late season possiblity but right now you would be covered in ticks quickly. the pine ridge campground is a perfect place for a group hang however, and I think once we get a frost we should be having a hang here- check out the campsite and those trees!

Does it look like there's a good campsite about halfway around the loop? So we could do 11 or so miles one day, and then finish the loop the next day?
This sounds like a possible run for Weasel and I when he gets back from AIT. And the timing should be good, since he'll be back late Sept. I don't know yet what his weekends in Oct are going to look like, but I'll let you know as soon as we find out.
That would be a good timeframe to make sure that things have cooled off enough to kill off the bugs.
