Widowmakers aren't always obvious. First story I saw this morning when I brought up my browser.

My heart goes out to those that were hurt or suffered loss. Doesn't appear to have been any real "cause" that they've been able to find on what caused the tree top to give.

Wow... sure makes you think. What a reminder about "widow makers." But in this case, all the looking up in the world would not have helped, it seems.
Sometimes, I just think when it's your time to go, you're gonna go.
As it turns out, we had a good-size limb fall in our yard overnight, without warning and without a storm. Thankfully, no injury and no damage.

Truly heartbreaking to lose people under such circumstances. The outdoors can be a dangerous place, but I think most would agree the rewards are worth the risk.
