ultralight alternatives to WBBB with mosquito netting?

I have a WBBB and generally really like it.. but I'd like there to be a lighter option.

    Are there any alternatives?

The BIAS WW Micro looks interesting but there is no mosquito netting.

I know a lot of you guys have built custom hammocks so I was wondering what my options were here.

My goal this year is to see if I can get my pack down to a 5-6lb base weight :-)

BIAS makes the Nano Buganator. Excellent coverage and weight penalty, only when you need it. When you don't, leave it and the extra ounces at home,

No fixed net sling will allow for that.

You could also go with either the AHE HUG or DP's 1/2 net, about the same weight, coverage, and price points between the two.

Papa comes close, but it's hard to go UL with a fixed net.

DIY? There's always Sgt Rock's Ghost Hammock. Now your are getting serious, if 8-10# is your target.

    Good luck!

Actually it's not hard at all to go UL with a fixed net. I have the Darien UL, which with the changes I made (removed whoopie hooks and dutch clips, and added longer straps) it weighs 14oz stuffed. My base weight is 6lbs. Even with the BIAS WWM and Nano Buginator it's gonna weigh more than the Darien UL. The advantage that the BIAS setup has is that you could ditch the net in the winter and save 7oz. Which is why I also have a WWM.

I've got a WBBB 1.1 single and it comes in at 18oz with whoopies. It's going to be hard to get much lighter with a net.

I've also got the Micro and love it for the times I don't need a net.

The Darien UL would be a great option to check in to.
