3 Day Hike on The Six Foot Track, Blue Mountains, Australia.

The Six Foot Track is located between the Jenolan Caves and Katoomba, Hiking distance of apx 47km. I recently completed this hike starting at the Caves finishing at Katoomba, a very pretty little village in the Blue Mountains.

Temps ranged between 0c - 7c max. Used my Warbonnet Blackbird Hammock and Under Quilt and my Hammock Gear Cuben Tarp and Top Quilt, as well as my Gossamer Gear Maripossa Pack.

Unfortunately my GoPro Camera's memory card was full and missed out on filming the climb up into Katoomba on the last day.

    Hope you enjoy the video.

Once again you do it right. Great views, and yes that bridge. Where is it and what is on each side of the river, how long is it, WHY did you not go up there so we could have had a view? Thanks for sharing another pleasing adventure in the Land Down Under.

Bowtell Swinging Bridge: built by the 1st Field Squadron of the Royal Australian Engineers in 1991. It was named in honor of CPL Bob Bowtell. Bob was born in Katoomba and he died in Vietnam. He was one of the famous 'Tunnel Rats' and he died in a tunnel clearance. His children attended the opening of the bridge in 1992. It's located on the Cox River about 15km hike from Katoomba.

I had planned to film myself walking across the bridge, but it was very scary, The bridge swung from side to side, I had to hold on for all mighty, I stopped a couple times to try to grab my GoPro, but the bridge would shake more violently when I stopped, and I had to hold on with both hands.

Normally I would record the sound and speak as I'm walking, but this occasion I chosen to use background music, reason being, the GoPro is hopeless at recording sound and I was getting this loud constant tapping noise on all the recordings from my GoPro, Not sure where it came from.

This was a lightweight expedition and away from home for 8 weeks, so I decided to only take the absolute necessities with me. I did have my sound recorder with me and had planned to take it with me, but at the last moment I decided to leave it behind.

I almost decided not to take the GoPro with me. I only taken the essentials for the GoPro. Most of the pictures I taken was with my Mobile Phone.

My future hikes will be recorded with sound.

It was a bit scary to cross, the way it was shaking me from side to side.

I was glad when I got to the other side.
