I have not been to a LA hang yet so I'm really looking forward to this one.

Very good question. I think moving it back would put us in hot weather like last year. Moving it up would put us into the holiday season.

We are shooting for the center of the state or as close to it as we can get. This way its fair for guys to the east and west as well as north.

I am still a big fan of free but we are looking at a more family friendly are (ie showers and bathrooms). We could always shoot for January but I think you will exclude some of the newer hangers who have not gotten winter gear yet.

Hey guys...I'm pretty easy. 2 week spread would be best for me, but I could make 1 week spread work too. If you guys don't want to mess with changing the date, I totally understand and I'll just be a big boy and make a decision when the time comes.

I'm going to the Butt Bake this weekend. Will be discussing the dates, and changes if needed, with the guy who puts on the Fairfield hang. Jazilla or I will post the final decision on the date of this LA hang. The other guys involved in putting on this goodtime (hang) are going scout camp grounds this weekend so I'm pretty sure the location will be posted on Monday!

January is a good idea I think. There is time for most noobies to at least get an under quilt or a couple of pads at least and most of them already have sleeping bags from tent camping. At worst they have to use a tent one more time. It will allow me (a noobie) and other noobies to see full winter setups and a lot of them. I think I would learn more from a winter hang.
