    NeverWet - Anecdotal Evidence ?

Okay, some of you were going apey a couple of weeks ago about the new Never Wet spray product.

Now that some have tried it, what say ye?

One fellow I know tried it on his motorcycle boots. First time they got wet, they turned blue! Stayed dry, but turned blue. After some use, the product flaked off where the leather flexed.

EDIT: I asked him again about this and he said the boots got the blue haze before they were wet. Repelled water for sure, but now he has Smurf boots. And it is wearing off here the boots flex and as you can see, where his shifter is. He also sounds pretty confident he followed the instructions well.

I'm not saying it doesn't work. I'm not even saying he did it right, just wondering if there has been any experimentation among you all...

I've used it on a metal and stone table for a customer. It seems to work well enough for what we are going to use it for. I'm not crazy about the "frosted" effect I got in some spots but chalking that up to too much product in a spot. Time will tell if this is going to behave in a manner that will work for us.

I did try it on an old rain slick and was not happy about the feel on the nylon fabric. No big lose on the rain slick and if it stays dry then fine but I'm not putting this on any of my hiking or hanging gear at this point in the game. Just not what I would want. YMMV.
