Yeah, California has some of the most diverse weather conditions in the country.

One day you can be enjoying 60 degree weather in the valleys, then go to the mountains and you are experiencing 5 feet of snow and 25 degrees. Then drive North and you have areas with thick fog, cool temps, drizzle and whatnot. Drive south and you are in the damned desert.

Thats the beauty of California. Whether you are in the mood to surf or snowboard....its all within a couple hours of driving.

Also, if you are the type of person that likes the survivor shows... Survivor man Les Stroud had to actually be rescued from the lower portion of the Sierra Nevada mountains. That mountain range is no joke

And its been my backyard for the past 15 years give or take.

By the way, I am from the Tahoe area... But because of my job, I am in the aviation capitol of the USA.... Palmdale/Lancaster, Ca.. High desert... ugh.

I'd be interested in a winter hang, but I work at Bass Pro Shops, so it's probably not realistic for me as it's about to get crazy. However, if anyone needs discounts come Christmas shopping time...
