    Southern California Represent!

Thinking the So. Cal. crowd might be able to get together for a weekend in the local mountains somewhere near Big Bear while the weather's nice. I'd enjoy a backpacking camping trip and maybe pick up a few pointers from you more experienced hangers. Anyone know a decent trout hole where we can camp? Nothing better than fresh trout for breakfast!

Deep in the San Gabriel Wilderness area, there are good trout to be caught. Another option is also Middle Fork area in the Cucamonga Wilderness. I don't fish but know of people that do in those areas.

Good trees to hang from too.

South fork has some honey holes for trout.
Tortoise never for a moment stopped, but went on with a slow but steady pace straight to the end of the course.

The California Hanging Contingent grows daily . . . Big Bear is beautiful. . . There's a campground on the east side of the lake, but I don't recall the name. Triggerhpy lives near there . . .
