    First hang this past week!!

    I took the 'don't hang any higher than you're willing to fall' theory a little too seriously...

    There IS such a thing as hanging the hammock too low!!

    Good thing the camera was still packed in the car! Trying to get out of the hammock when my butt was brushing the ground cover plants was apparently quite a scene. I am no longer the agile young thing of the past...

    My camping partner giggled for a long, long time!!

    Lesson learned: hang the hammock high enough that you can stand up from a sitting position.

    Ha, I did this not too long ago around 4am, after answering nature's call. Took me a few seconds to figure out what the heck had happened.

    Ending up like a wrapped banana upside down in a bug net.... Alcohol was involved.
    There was an Old Man with a owl,
    Who continued to bother and howl;
    He sat on a rail, And imbibed bitter ale,
    Which refreshed that Old Man and his owl

    Ok, here goes. Grabbed the zipper on my Eno bug net and instead of continuing the pull down, I decided just to put both hands on the side of the net to pull it open. The result was having the zipper getting seriously caught on the very expensive UQ and tearing it along with destroying the zipper of the bug net. Hammock camping at it's most expensive.

    Not hanging out of the wind.

    Not keeping the fly low to the hammock. More than once, a clear evening has turned into a stormy, windy night.
