    who said it was "required"?
Shug has stated many times that he wears all these clothes becasue he is too lazy to get undressed (I doubt this but his choice/rationale)
IF you like to sleep nekkid or fully clothed, on the ground or in a hammock, I'm struggling to see how a hammock makes a difference...

Your wife ever look at you like that while you test this stuff, or ever go out on the superior hiking trail with you, cause I know mine would do a day hike. Which is fine but I know she wont do a overnighter.
*note to self get an underquilt pronto*

I had a bit of moisture along the outside of my sleeping bag on the side that is not the entry side. Not much but I will continue testing.......

I don't think that was that many clothes considering the temperature and winds. For me anyways.
Ewker, do you commonly sleep out in sub O in a tent?

sorry didn't mean to hijack this thread with my comment. Maybe a separate thread would be best

Good report Shug. I'll throw in a whooooo Yeti too.
I am doing something similar to what you are doing with the reflectix except that I am using radiantex. It is refelctive but also breathable. I haven't been able to test real cold as we don't get any. I basically took a length of it folded it in half so that it was reflective on both sides, then made it into a foot pocket at one end and it runs to just about where the yeti ends (under my lower thigh). I am using a mummy bag as a quilt and the foot pocket I made in the radiantex fits right inside the one on my sleeping bag. It works well so far. I am also going to try a bit under my neck and head.

As far as clothing, when it's cold here I wear a one piece fleece suit, it is 18oz with a 36oz torso. It is drysuit underwear for scuba diving.
Embarassing is being the last item in a discount bin.

No matter where you go, it will never be as cool as it was just before you got there. So thanks for ruining it for everyone.

Swing looooow, sweet Waaaarbonnet, comin for..to..carry..... me....yawn.....home......zzzzzzzz
