    Been using both my 1/8th inch Amsteel and my Dynaglide UCRs. I like them both. I think I'll save the DynaGlide UCRs for longer trips:

    Thanks for doing this. Just finished my first set of UCR. Did them in Dynaglide. Tried out in backyard. Held well.

    I'm currently using paracord doubled and knotted to resemble a climbing sling, about 12' long finished. It works pretty well, actually. It stretches of course, but it'll do until I can get back home and get some amsteel. I'm 230 lbs and not a gram counter, so I suppose I'll use 1/8".

    Thanks for the list. Currently using a SLS with whoopies at each end but looking to redo to UCR's on my return home.
    Most of us end up poorer here but richer for being here. Olddog, Fulltime hammocker, 365 nights a year.

    I used Whoopie slings for a few years. I have finally switched over to UCRs. I think my time with Whoopie slings has thought me a bit about the constricting splice. I've carried that info over to UCRS. The UCRs are now my new go to.
