I finally got my very own Blackbird and now I am thinking of a good underquilt. But I was wondering if there are issues with underquilts when laying in the diagonal position? Also how are you guys rigging your underquilts on the Blackbird?

I love my Hammock Gear quilts. Also love my TeWa quilt. I just hook the suspension over the knot on the ends of the hammock...no issues yet.
This may give some insight.....carry forth.

One thing I did, was get some of Dutch's quilt hooks. I sewed one on the left shoulder and one on the right foot of the UQ. Then sewed in some like 1/4 inch wide elastic to the outside of the WBBB, with like stitches 1 inch apart so you can adjust. The elastic was sewed on the right foot and left shoulder of the hammock. I use Dutch's plastic hooks also. The hooks hold the UQ over by the shoulder and head.

The Black Bird will work with nearly any quilt made. To lay diagonal you just slide the quilts suspension to be slightly angled and hop on in. Not any more work than any other hammock and quilt combo.

I have used both a New River from KAQ and a Incubator from HG. Both worked fine on my WBBB and now on my WBBB XLC. Shug beat me to where I figured out how to do it but his method works great. Was going to get the Triangle thingies but his method worked so figured why spend the cash.
Where ever you go,
There you are.
I use 2 different HG Phoenix UQ with Dutch quilt hooks, no problem.
I have the jarbidge from AHE and I use a mini s biner over the suspension. It works great.
