    Hammocks for big guys

My chest and waist are around 52". Would a 58" hammock be a good fit???

I don't think it'd be a problem since you're talking about a round dimension vs. a flat dimension. I'm about the same size.

I snagged the WBBB XLC for pretty much the same reason, and it's MIGHTY comfortable. I'm getting no pinch anywhere when I bed down.

Check the 1.9 double layer Switchback classic (as opposed to the LightHiker that is a bit shorter)

11' 1.9 double layer should give you the best support.

My suggestion: Get up with Junebugdawn and talk to her about recreating Swamp Sling or one of her Pinkbug hammocks. Reasonably priced and they hold all 385lbs of me up.

I'm 6'4", 245 and feel like a kid in my Appalachian Hammock. Admittedly it's my first, getting a feel for hanging but it swallows me up, very comfy and confidence inspiring.

I'm about the same size as greenzee and am comfortable in my woot double hammock.
