Per subject. Wanted for hammock hanging. Lots of rocks here on the rock, and a few of these might help me get off the ground faster than looking for 2 trees.

I bought a few small sizes of wired stopper nuts for just this purpose. I think I have 4, up to a size 6. Relatively cheap compared to cams.

They are so expensive! I posted to see if anyone had any used units that they might not trust for their intended purpose, but would be fine for holding up a hammock. Arresting a fall, and statically holding a hammock are 2 very different purposes.
Any retired rock guys?
Maybe check ebay for used ones? Or craigslist since you said you're in a rocky area. Normally I wouldn't trust much climbing gear off craigslist, but in this case it could be well worth it.
You can also learn a knot to tie around a small rock, and wedge that rock into the crack. Use either webbing or extra Amsteel. Then you don't have to carry cams
