    I was considering Shealor lake for my shake down but picked Island lake instead. I'll have to keep Shealor on my list!
    Isn't it fun talking gear? One of my fav parts of hanging with hammockers.

    I brought my sister along for a trip a while back. I had that same low grade stress the whole time that she was going to hate it. I usually carry a 14 lbs base weight pack and I think I had about 30 lbs that trip, I didn't want my sister to get bogged down and tired out. she had a great time, she slept great, and loved exploring the outdoors. I on the other hand almost had a heart attack carrying double my usual load.

    But we ended up having a good time together and she has been shopping for a hammock ever since.
