    Hello from Harrisburg, NC

Just a quick hello to everyone. I'm fairly new to hanging. I got into it when I started getting things together for a AT hike. I really enjoyed it on my hike. I couldn't have asked for better sleep while hanging.

I went with the GT ultralight hammock, ENO dryfly tarp, with the ENO atlas straps. As far as insulation I used my sleeping bag and a DIY pad due to my budget. I hope to get a tq and uq before I attempt a thru hike next year. I have the material to make them but I can not sew. Maybe I'll figure that out before next March or April.

    Any ways happy hanggin y'all

Welcome from down at the beach! Lots of advice to be had here for your thru-hike. Just ask and they'll come out of the walls!

Welcome from Greensboro! I had to look on the map to see where Harrisburg was. I don't get out much!

(Sorry I missed your hello when you did it on the 19th. This was the first time I saw it.)

Welcome from Garner, NC. I actually do know where Harrisburg is. Hope you get some light gear and get to do a thru on the AT. It has been a dream of mine for a long time but at this point it will have to be a little here and maybe a little more later. I just saw your message. I don't think the folks on this forum would slight anyone on purpose. Hope to see you at a NC hang soon. Yates Place, Hot Springs, etc. They are happening faster than I can keep up.
