    Double Layer Hennessy bottom?

I recently got a Hennessy ultralight, but have yet to sleep in it. I will use it this spring and fall, but don't plan on purchasing anything other than a pad (not this year anyway).

I'm considering the SPE, but I also wonder if anyone has modified their HH's bottom to allow a bad to sit between the two layers.

Has anyone done this, or is there a way to just clip a pad to the bottom without adding another layer?

Would this method be preferable to an SPE?

    Thanks

There was some talk of it somewhere here. I am not sure if someone actually made it. I think it was michele that talked about adding cords to the bottom to hold it in. I think she did one of her award winning drawings on it. But I in the end, she did not do it.

I think sewing a sleeve into the bottom and both sides of the slit could work. Weight wise it should be lighter than the SPE since you will add one less layer of material.

    Never know until you try.
Is that too much to ask? Girls with frikkin' lasers on their heads?

I think it would actually come out heavier than the SPE in the long run. You'd want the pocket wider than a SPE so you could sew it into the edge hems and avoid unnecessary sewing in the body
