Tee Dee, what's the width of material. Will help people figure out how much they want to order. Thanks!

    I'll probably buy 10 yards.

I'm in for at least 10 yards,
IF....it is at least half as good as the claims.
    That remains to be seen.

    More Information

Spoke to the CEO just now and got more information on the 325 yard roll.

The roll is approximately 26" x 62" and weighs 50 lbs.

That pegs the width of the material at 62".

So the roll itself is physically of a size that I can handle it and cut the yardage.

At 50 lbs, the weight is low enough that the shipping from i.d.i. to me should not be too high.

325 yards weighs 50 lbs including whatever they have it rolled around in the center, so the stuff isn't very heavy, which is good.

By my calculations now, we have 10 (excluding me) that want a total of 200 yards. Those that gave a range like 10 - 20 yards, I computed at the mid-point, 15 yards.

So, to make this work, we need enough people who want the material for another 120 yards approximately.

Given the results of guySmiley, it seems that there should enough people to make up 100 yards.

As soon as enough sign up for another 100 yards, I'll start an official listing of who and amount and then phone the CEO again and place the order.

One note: when I talked to him today, he was very accommodating and pleasant. He said that he is doing us a favor (not cynically doing us a favor, but helping us DIYs - I have explained to him what I am doing and what people want it for) in selling the one roll since they have no facilities for selling yardage or distributing yardage. They usually only sell to manufacturers doing large volume business.

So as soon as we get the yardage up to 300 yards I will place the order and we can go from there.

I personally plan on several top quilts (I have used the All-In-One as a top quilt comfortably in the 40s for which it works very well) and several under quilts made expressly for my Bridges. I plan on triple layers in all quilts. I figure that 3 layers will give satisfactory results (don't exactly what the results will be yet) and will be better than Climashield since the bulk will be reduced considerably (1/10 the thickness) and the weight will be less than Climashield. Still computing the yardage I personally want, but thinking of about 40 to 50 yards.

I see that guySmiley is getting the same results that I have obtained to date.
