Gnome, you mention radios on Channel 7. I'm assuming you mean FRS walkie-talkies like the Motorolas. Mine have a second number, so it's like channel 7-4 or 7-2... Are these the same type of radios?

Yea Clean, frs/gmrs radios. The sub channels are for security, if we set the radio to just channel 7 everyone can catch the signal. We can talk to camp from trailhead and exploring etc. beginning to sound like a good hang

See if I have the directions correct. To Flagstaff, south on Lake Mary Road 7 miles, right on FR8, left on FR81E to the trailhead 4 miles. Hike is 1.5 or 2 miles top of ridge down. Time leaving trailhead or campground? Miss the mud holes Dodge Caravan.
