Wow, so sad I missed this. The one week in so long that I had time to go camping and I totally missed this thread! I'm going to have to look up the thread about how to monitor these trip forums better.

Yeah I've been moping around all day, bummed that we missed the trip. We are totally down for another trip in the coming weeks/months if anyone is down for another one.
I to was unable to attend but would recommend for a future hike Havasupai Falls. Plenty of tress to hang in the campground. Lovely scenery.

Great hang this weekend. I enjoyed seeing the different setups. I'm glad to see Brett and his boys converted to hammocks.
Maybe we can do Aspen Springs before it snows.
Does the learning and DROOLING never end?

I'm glad to hear you had a good time. I'm sorry we missed it.
How were the road conditions? Was the area busy? Any photos? My son and I will be backpacking somewhere on the 24 & 25. I'm thinking we may as well go here.
Are you talking about the Houston Brother Trail?
Walking through a pine and aspen forest along perennial creeks and historic cabins appeals to you, then you'll like this hike. This large area of Quaking Aspen, Pine, and Oak shaded "Aspen Fire Cabin Complex" with adjacent, perennial "Aspen Spring" is one of the most popular and scenic overnight backpack camp locations within the entire Cabin Loop trail system.
If so this would be like walking on a flat in the forest under fall colors. Bring a camera. Interesting this might work.
Welcome back everyone! Not all my photos turned out (hey, it's an iPhone), but I'll get a trip report posted soon on my blog.
It was great to meet everyone and I hope to do it again soon. Kendrick Mountain is still on the table for Fall, I believe, so keep your calendars open.

Kendrick Mountain? Has there been discussion about that here? Details please!
I don't know if anyone has posted a group hang, we (tewa) and I were discussing it after we hammock camped in the Grand Canyon earlier this year. I'm booked with backpacking trips through September, but October looks pretty good for me.

Ok. Thanks for clarifying.
