Lost messages that are especially important to HF

I see I slipped to "Senior Status". While I found in an inbox 16 months ago the membership renewal notice, I suspect I was sent another one a few months ago. But I probably deleted it without even noticing the subject because all notices from HF get filtered by me into a folder. I empty that folder often without scanning if there are many entries and I will go directly to Forums to read instead.

I don't have a recommendation to get around this, but do wonder if this has happened to others, too.

I don't think I ever even got a renewal notice, unless it went directly to my junk folder. I found out the hard way my renewal was up.

I think when they get past a certain number of posts, think it's only a couple hundred though

Only one reminder a week before expiration is NOT sufficient for anyone who travels at all and/or pays by check.

At a minimum, a renewal should be sent a month in advance and a week in advance. Preferably one two weeks ahead too. At a minimum.

Heck, they are automatic, so it's not as it if would double or triple the work for anyone, but it should would solve problems for users caught at the last minute.
