One minute to set tarp. May not be perfect but will get you out of the rain quick. Once tarp is set I slow down.

flip strap around tree, Dutch hook or biner on the strap. Repeat at other end, adjust buckles. Done. Similar on tarp only use a Dutch hook on one end and a fly on the other with prussics to the tarp for centering and properly hanked attached guy lines.
    YMMV

    I go with this.

My avg time on the trail was about 4 minutes, tops for tarp and hammock.
And that is after a 20 mile day.

    I had HH hyperlite.
Another hiker had a WBB, and she was done about 2 minutes before me.

It depends on the tarp..how many stakes do you need to use to tie it down? Does the tarp need spreader poles that one might use?..depends on the hammock. ..if its a bridge style,,are you using your hiking poles and having to re adjust them to install vs. the spreader bars that are provided? If your using just a simple tarp,,and a gathered end hammock..slap it up depending on how you packed it and how you have it bagged or packaged to pack. Try packing and carrying your essentials as simple as possible in a wet situation.
