    polyester, polypro, or nylon

    what is the best material for straps?

    Polyester. Polypro will stretch, as will nylon. You may not notice at first but will end up with your butt on the ground in the morning. 1800# is standard tree hugger material...Bush

    For 3" in blue, green, red or yellow (by the foot or bulk 300ft rolls) or 4" in the previous colors as well as black you can check out: http://www.uscargocontrol.com/Webbin...yester-Webbing

    90 and 93 cents/foot respectively.

    They also have 2 inch in a wider variety of colors for 57 cents/foot @ 6k lb break strength (basic colors), and 63 cents/foot at 12k lb break strength (extra colors include olive, white, camo, and orange).

    They also have 2" rings with Assembly Break Strength: 5,000 lbs and Work Load Limit: 1,666 lbs for $1.39
